How The Owl's Nest Cafe completes us

.
We’ve made our home in the former Nicolin Mercantile building, built in 1876. It’s one of a dozen buildings in downtown Jordan, MN that are on the National Register of Historic Places. This lends to the eclectic feel of our space!
The former mercantile building is a relic from the days when the city of Jordan was sometimes referred to as “Nicolinville”. This was a time when Frank Nicolin Sr.’s two flour mills and other ventures brought an economic boom to the river valley communities. Some of the buildings uses included a bar, theater, event center, and antique shop.
More recently, the cast and crew of the movie “Marmalade”, including actors Joe Keery and Camila Marrone, used the building for lunch, meetings, and rest while they filmed in Jordan.
